Signature technique: Versatility — growing up in Knoxville on the Tennessee River system and fishing the college circuit for five years at the University of Tennessee allowed Gee to learn a variety of techniques that have helped navigate the Opens and Elite Series schedule.

Did you know: In high school, Robert split time between fishing local tournaments and playing baseball. He played catcher on a state championship team for Christian Academy of Knoxville where he caught for Atlanta Braves star Spencer Strider. He also set a Tennessee record for most times hit by pitch in a career (58). He had opportunities to play college baseball, but he decided fishing was much easier on his knees.
