A truck custom-built for fishermen

Toyota asked Bassmaster Elite Series pro Britt Myers to customize a Toyota Tundra and create the Ultimate Fishing Tundra. So, Myers created a bed that pops out — full of bass tackle.

<p>The truck was unveiled this week at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas. It’s the biggest aftermarket auto event in the world. But he gave anglers a sneak peek at the truck two weeks ago in Charlotte, N.C., at the Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament.</p>
The truck was unveiled this week at the SEMA (Specialty Equipment Market Association) show in Las Vegas. It’s the biggest aftermarket auto event in the world. But he gave anglers a sneak peek at the truck two weeks ago in Charlotte, N.C., at the Toyota Trucks Bonus Bucks Owners Tournament.
<p>Note the extension on the back of the truck. “You can push a button and the entire bed comes out, full of tackle,” Myers said. “It looks like an aisle at Bass Pro Shops.”</p>

<p>The pull-out bed holds a refrigerator, a line-spooling station and tackle storage space. On top of the cab are two rod tubes that hold up to 40 rods.</p>

<p>Myers shows the finished product to the pros who shared their thoughts. “This is a freak-nasty truck,” said VanDam as he and the other pros admire the features.</p>

<p>The truck has a 12-inch suspension lift kit on it, so to help the driver and passengers get in, the step folds out automatically.</p>
